A Hybrid Blockchain Scheme with Repetition

We introduce a hybrid framework for blockchain that allows for the separation of the consensus and the storage. In the seperate storage system, an $$n$$ repetition scheme is applied. Impressively, the storage system can tolerate up to $$n-1$$ crashes or Byzantine errors. Compared with the scheme with erasure codes, our scheme avoids the heavy decoding operations such that the computational complexity is low.
