摘要
Adenoviruses replicate in the nucleus of infected cells and produce at least 50 different proteins, some of which modulate the host cell environment to enhance virus replication. Therapy is supportive and symptomatic as there is no specific treatment for adenovirus infections. Infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) is a disease of dogs and wild canids. ICH has a global distribution, but clinical disease hasbecome increasingly rare with proper vaccinations. ICH is suspected in young, unvaccinated dogs with fever, gastrointestinal, and hepatic disease, or corneal edema. There are currently 10 recognized serotypes of bovine adenoviruses, which belong to two genera, Atadenovirus and Mastadenovirus . There are two serotypes, Equine adenovirus 1 and 2, which are also called Equine mastadenovirus A and B, respectively. Implementation of biosecurity measures to reduce exposure to waterfowl and fomites can reduce the risk of virus transmission.
