摘要
The effects of Al content and the counterface material on the high temperature tribological behavior and wear mechanism of (Ti,V)3AlC2 solid solutions were investigated. The friction coefficient of (Ti0.6V0.4)3AlC2 is reduced by 36.25% and 47.76% compared to Ti3AlC2 at room temperature and 800 degrees C respectively. When coupled with Al2O3 and ZrO2 balls at 800 degrees C, continuous smooth lubricating films composed of oxides formed by the tribochemical reaction lead to the lower friction coefficients. When coupled with Si3N4 and SiC balls, the wear rates are relatively low due to the formation of friction films containing SiOx.
