Enhancing health and eHealth literacy among nurses working with older people during COVID-19 pandemic: A multi-center e-Delphi study in five countries

•This study builds on existing training courses for the enhancement of health literacy skills among healthcare professionals and highlights the need for nurses to identify older adults with low Health and eHealth literacy.•This study highlights the need for the development of tailored tools and training courses targeting older people.•The involvement and collaboration of five academic institutions in Europe in the development of the training reassure the sustainability of the training.•The person-centered approach in communication and patient safety are integrated in the development of the proposed training course.•The training provides the tools for the improvement of the interaction among nurse and older adult.
