Fertility preservation in early-stage endometrial cancer and endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia: A single-institutional experience

The incidence of endometrial cancer (EC) and endometrial hyperplasia (EH) in younger women of reproductive age is increasing. Approximately 3–14% of EC cases are diagnosed in women aged ≤40 years who wish to preserve their fertility. Several conservative treatment approaches have been reported in the literature, including systemic hormonal therapy with progestins and/or levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine device (LNG-IUD). We evaluated the oncologic and obstetric outcomes after fertility-sparing hormone treatment in our diverse patient population.
