Survivorship in premenopausal women with borderline ovarian tumors: Hormone replacement therapy prescribing patterns

Borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) are likely precursors to hormone-sensitive chemotherapy-resistant low-grade serous ovarian cancers. However, BOTs are often diagnosed in premenopausal women, and treatment can result in surgically induced menopause (SIM). Given the lack of data on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in this population, we sought to describe HRT-prescribing practices and recurrence patterns.
