摘要
Advanced hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is frequently characterized by painful, purulent lesions caused by microbial pathogens. Although antibiotic treatments have been shown to improve disease severity and remission, there is limited data on treatment guidelines for anaerobic organisms. We performed a retrospective chart review of 100 patients at the Einstein/Montefiore HS Center with draining wounds cultured for anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. Demographic information, measures of disease severity (HS- physician global assessment [HS-PGA], numerical rating scale-pain score [NRS-Pain], erythrocyte sedimentation rate [ESR], c-reactive protein [CRP], interleukin-6 [IL-6], white blood cell [WBC] count), and treatment recommendations were abstracted from the electronic medical record.
