Background: INTRODUCTION: Sebaceous hypersecretion is a fundamental factor for excessive skin oiliness. In this context, testosterone transformation into 5-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the enzyme 5a-reductase is one of the causes of this hypersecretion. Sebaceous gland´s size has a direct impact on pore´s size. The larger the gland is, the more sebum it secretes and wider and more visible the pore opening. So, a cosmetic approach with efficacy on multiple biological ways may be efficient in the reduction of the excess of sebum.
