A National Analysis of the Weekend Effect in Children Diagnosed with Dermatomyositis using the Kids' Inpatient Database

Background: Objectives: The “Weekend Effect” describes the suggested poorer quality of care experienced by patients admitted on a weekend. Dermatomyositis (DM) is an inflammatory disease with acute and chronic manifestations. Associations between weekend admission and the management and outcomes of pediatric inpatients with DM have not been investigated.
