2023 PCMA experience: Producing large events after the threshold of COVID-19

The Professional Convention Management Association's (PCMA) Convening Leaders (CL) 2023 was held in Columbus, Ohio, January 8-11, 2023. Around 3,300 event professionals attended. The attendees include meeting planners, suppliers, tourism officials, meeting organizers, hotel sales, meeting professionals, hoteliers, faculty, and students. Brian Ross, the President and CEO of the destination marketing organization of Columbus, Ohio (Experience Columbus), ensured that the attendees were splendidly welcomed. The initiatives of PCMA University (PCMAU) and the faculty sessions provided new insights into education and future leaders' preparedness. Many significant topics of critical importance were covered, and the attendees at the 2023 Convening Leaders conference showed the resurgence of large events after the threshold of COVID-19.
