Clouding of TX-100 and promethazine hydrochloride mixture: Impacts of Na salts on the physicochemical parameters and interaction forces linked with studied components

•Clouding of TX-100 and promethazine hydrochloride (PMH) mixture in various sodium salts were studied.•Compared to univalent, polyvalent anions present in electrolytes showed more activity.•Clouding of TX-100 and PMH mixture in attendances of electrolytes was non-spontaneous.•Intrinsic enthalpy gain (ΔHco,∗) and compensation temperature (Tc) provided the nature of interactions.•This research may be useful for formulating various drugs in pharmaceutical industry.
