Research on Wideband Oscillation and Suppression Measure in PMSG-Based Wind Farm with SVG

The article established a reduced-order state space model for the grid connected system of a PMSG-based wind farm containing SVG. And it was found that SVG in wind farms may cause wideband oscillation. The influence of the number of wind turbine, active power, reactive power of SVG on wideband oscillation was studied. In order to suppress wideband oscillation, a damping controller for wideband oscillation in PMSG-based wind farm with SVG was proposed. Modal analysis and time-domain simulation analysis were conducted on the grid connected power system of a PMSG-based wind farm containing SVG. The effectiveness of the wideband oscillation damping controller was verified.
