摘要
Micro defects may arise in insulation rods during both the manufacturing process and periods of service. A simulation model is created to examine how various defects influence the electric field and mechanical stress distribution within the insulation rod. This model incorporates defects such as voids and delamination. Simulation results indicate that as the breaker closes, the maximum electric field migrates along the axis due to a partial structural movement of the rod into the shielding. Varying defects cause distortions in both the surface and inner electric field distributions of the rod. Notably, delamination defects have a significantly greater influence on the inner electric field compared to the rod's surface. When subjected to static loads, the maximum stress values occur at the connection points between the insulation rod and the metal fittings. Delamination defects have a more pronounced effect on the stress distribution within the rod compared to void defects.
