摘要
Arboviruses are a diverse group of RNA viruses that are transmitted to vertebrates through an invertebrate host. They include many important human pathogens, such as dengue virus (DENV), West Nile virus (WNV), Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), yellow fever virus (YFV), La Crosse encephalitis virus, Rift Valley fever (RVF) virus, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus, chikungunya virus (CHIKV), and eastern, western, and Venezuelan equine encephalitis viruses (VEEVs). The clinical manifestations of infections in humans by arboviruses range from asymptomatic infections to febrile processes with more or less severe symptoms, including arthritis, encephalitis, or hemorrhagic fever. In this article the disease caused by different arboviruses in humans and the pathogenesis associated with their infections will be summarized.
