Exercise before ALPPS Improves the Functional Regeneration of the Liver in Experimental Model

Purpose: Associating Liver Partition and Portal vein ligation for Staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) is offered to patients with inoperable liver tumors by standard techniques. Unfortunately, adverse postoperative events undermine the advantages of ALPPS. Evidence raised in oncological surgery that physical prehabilitation (PP) could improve postoperative complications. Thus, we investigated the effect of PP on the postoperative outcome of ALPPS.
