This symposium presents current research that aims to advance a nuanced understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in organizations and to provide insights for future research. Across five presentations, this symposium brings together papers that helps organizations to diversify and foster inclusion and equity in the workplace. This set of five papers draws from diverse theoretical perspectives to provide nuanced understanding of DEI topics, including prosocial diveristy behaviors, ally behaviors, and diversity initatives. Overall, each paper contributes empirically to DEI research and provides meaningful implications for DEI issues in organizations.
