摘要
Abstract This chapter raises ethical issues within clinical matters. It begins with the concepts of mental disorders, and defines values and diversity in forensic practice, including how to avoid person prejudices. It goes on to the importance of autonomy and self-determination. Consent to treatment, and treatment during incapacity are both covered, alongside when patients refuse treatment. The chapter goes on to ask who forensic psychiatrists should treat, what counts as treatment, and consent to risk assessments and research/documentary procedures. It finishes with prosecution of patients.
