Microelectrode Arrays In article number 2201716 by Matthew W. Kay, Luyao Lu, and co-workers, a microelectrode array (MEA) is laminated on the heart to show its stretchability. Another stretched MEA is placed in the light path to show the capability for co-localized optical mapping. Green light represents stimulation light. Yellow and red lights represent the resulting calcium and voltage fluorescence while blue light represents the electrical signals from the MEA at the same site.
