Next-Generation Tissue Engineering Heart Valves In article number 2211267, Nianguo Dong, Weihua Qiao, and co-workers report a newly-constructed copper ion coated and GDF11 immobilized scaffold to successfully generate endogenous nitric oxide and improve hemocompatibility by down-regulating platelets activation and adhesion, meanwhile significantly accelerating endothelialization through facilitating recruitment and alleviating apoptosis of endogenous endothelial progenitor cells, promising for clinical application as an ideal prosthetic valve.
