Gram‐stain‐positive and nonmotile. Nonspore‐forming. Facultatively anaerobic and catalase and oxidase‐negative . No growth at 10 or 45 ° C or in broth containing 6 . 5 % NaCl . Weak acid production but no gas produced from glucose . Starch , esculin , gelatin , and urea are not hydrolyzed . Negative bile‐esculin reaction . Pyroglutamic acid arylamidase is produced but not leucine aminopeptidase . Voges–Proskauer‐negative. Nitrate is not reduced to nitrite. Vancomycin‐sensitive . DNA G + C content ( mol %): 40.5 ( T m ). Type species : Dolosicoccus paucivorans Collins, Rodriguez Jovita, Hutson, Falsen, Sjödén and Facklam 1 9 9 9c, 1442 VP .
