摘要
This chapter explores the integration of advanced assistive technologies in rehabilitation to address the limitations of traditional healthcare services. It emphasises how important it is for everyone to access to ongoing healthcare, regardless of where they live or how much time they have. To ensure healthcare services' greatest possible coverage, quality, and effectiveness, pervasive healthcare systems are proposed using wearable sensors, wireless communications, and mobile computers. Smartphones are emphasised as essential tools that can record vital signs, use GPS to track patients' locations, and act as interfaces for machine-human interactions. The article covers a variety of tools, including web-based platforms, mobile health (mHealth) applications, wearable tech, telehealth, and telemedicine, as well as the role of digital health technology in rehabilitation. By enhancing connectivity and access to information, these technologies provide advantages to both patients and therapists. We present the idea of digital therapeutics and emphasise its potential to promote long-term rehabilitation quality and enable remote consultations and interventions. In the article's conclusion, three overlapping areas of digital healthcare are defined and distinguished: telemedicine, telehealth, and e-health. This is done to highlight the importance of these categories in providing scalable and accessible healthcare solutions.
