摘要
Amorphous CoSnO3 was synthesized by heating CoSn(OH)6 at 300 degrees C. Characterization results indicate that the metal-hydroxyl bond in CoSn(OH)6 is converted into metal-oxygen bond in CoSnO3. The synthesized CoSnO3 is completely amorphous and consisted of nanocubes with an average size of about 70 nm. Gas sensing results show that the amorphous CoSnO3 exhibits an immense response of 202.2 to the triethylamine (TEA) vapor with a concentration of 100 ppm at the temperature of 100 degrees C. The experimental results also confirmed the superior gas selectivity and long-term stability of the amorphous CoSnO3. The enhanced gas detection properties were attributed to the abundant oxygen vacancy defects, large specific surface area and advanced porosity induced by the amorphous structure of CoSnO3. The presented synthesis strategy could facilitate the advancement of metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) gas sensors hereafter.
