Organotin (2-amino-4-fluorobenzoates): Synthesis, characterization, DFT studies, DNA interaction and cleavage studies

摘要
•Organotin(IV) complexes of 2-amino-4-fluorobenozic acid have been synthesized and characterized.•Bicapped tetrahedral and distorted tetrahedral geometry have been optimized for di- and triorganotin complexes, respectively.•In vitro DNA binding studies with CT-DNA showed that they interact via groove binding or electrostatic interaction.•Triorganotin(IV) complexes have higher plasmid DNA cleavage activity as compared to diorganotin(IV) complexes.
