摘要
Abstract Mil.ton.cos.tae.a'les. N.L. fem. pl. n. Miltoncostaea , type genus of the order; L. fem. pl. n. suff. – ales , ending to denote an order; N.L. fem. pl. n. Miltoncostaeales , the Miltoncostaea order. Actinomycetota / Thermoleophilia / Miltoncostaeales The order Miltoncostaeales is a member of the class Thermoleophilia . This order accommodates one family, Miltoncostaeaceae , and one genus, Miltoncostaea , composed of two validly published species named Miltoncostaea marina and Miltoncostaea oceani . Cells stain Gram‐negative and form rod‐shaped cells. Endospores are not observed. The members of this order are mesophilic and slightly halophilic. Strictly aerobic and chemoorganotrophic. The peptidoglycan contains meso ‐diaminopimelic acid ( meso ‐Dpm) as diagnostic diamino acid and is of type A1γ'. The major respiratory quinone is menaquinone 7 (MK‐7). Fatty acids are predominantly straight‐chain; branched fatty acids are also present. Isolated from marine sediments. DNA G + C content (%) : 74.8–76.1 (genome). Type genus : Miltoncostaea Li et al. 2021, VL202.
