摘要
Optic nerve head (ONH) avulsion can lead to irreversible complete loss of vision. The clinical signs are excavated optic disc area, vitreous hemorrhage (VH), preretinal hemorrhage, retinal detachment, and central retinal artery occlusion. Ultrasound (USG) B scan and computed tomography scan help detect the condition where a clear view of the fundus is obscured due to hyphema or VH. This prevents unnecessary treatment. Here, we discuss a case of ONH avulsion, associated complications, and the USG findings.
