Design of A Broad-band and High-power Water-load for Q-band Gyro-TWT

The rapid development of gyro-TWT towards high power and broad bandwidth has put forward higher requirements for its supporting test equipment [1] , In this paper, we designed and processed a double cone structure water load for gyro-TWT output power measurement and absorption, and carried out simulation design and processing test. The simulation results show that the S11 is less than -40dB in Q-band, the continuous wave (CW) power capacity is 30 kw, the pulse power capacity is up to 1MW, and the S11 is less than - 26dB in Q-band in cold test.
