Fractional stochastic modelling of dengue fever: The social awareness perspective

Dengue fever is one of the diseases that are common in tropical and semi-tropical regions and is transmitted by mosquitoes. There are no specific drugs for the treatment. However, the symptoms can be treated. In this study, a dengue mathematical model with awareness is formulated to examine the dynamics of the disease. The basic reproduction number and the steady state are determined. The local stability analysis of the model is investigated and found to be locally asymptotically stable. The existence and uniqueness of the model via the stochastic approach are proved. Numerical solutions are presented to compare the stochastic approach and deterministic fractional derivative. It is established that the random component depicts the fluctuations in the dynamics of the diseases, which is the reality in most infectious diseases.
