Distributed Power Supply Restoration Technology Based on 5G Communication and Distribution Network Layering and Zoning

The intelligent distributed control mode has the advantages of flexibility and speed, and the emergence of 5G technology just provides an effective means of communication for it. However, compared with fast industrial ethernet technology, 5G communication still has a high delay. When applied to distributed fault restoration in distribution network, the traditional relay query method will increase the restoration time. In order to realize the rapidity of distributed power supply restoration with 5G communication, the topological structure of distribution network is divided into layers and regions, and a distributed topology identification and information storage method based on distribution network layering and zoning is proposed, which is applicable to distribution network with multi branch lines and multi tie switches, and can adapt to the changes of network operation state. Based on proposed topology identification method, island detection and power supply restoration strategy are designed, which can shorten the overall fault restoration time by reducing the quantity of information transfer. Based on the strategy, a smart distributed terminal unit is developed. Finally, RTDS simulation tests verify the effectiveness of the proposed technology.
