Stability Analysis based on Parameter Sensitivity for Large-Scale Renewable Energy Bases Considering Frequency Coupling Characteristic

Nowadays, with the gradual evolution of the traditional power system into a modern one containing a high proportion of renewable energy, some noteworthy issues may emerge caused by the dynamic interactions between the renewable energy bases and weak AC grid. In this paper, based on the established impedance network model of large-scale renewable energy bases with considering frequency coupling, the s-domain nodal admittance matrix (SNAM) is derived. Then by using the SNAM method, the stability analysis of a 10-node system containing 4 PMSG-based wind farms is studied. Combined with parameter sensitivity analysis, the sensitive parameters in unstable resonance mode are found, and the corresponding parameter adjustment strategies are proposed to suppress the unstable resonance and improve the stability of system. Finally, the analysis results and parameter adjustment strategies are verified in the MATLAB/Simulink.
