Catastrophe Risk Assessment for Power Distribution Systems under Urban Waterlogging Disasters

Frequent urban rainstorm and waterlogging disasters have seriously affected power distribution systems, and reasonable catastrophe risk assessment is the basis for disaster prevention and mitigation. A comprehensive assessment method based on scenario simulation is proposed in this paper, where the power restoration process considering urban road inundation is involved. Case studies are performed to illustrate the validity of the proposed method, and numerical results show that urban waterlogging causes road disruptions, resulting in the inability of emergency repair, seriously affecting the power restoration of distribution systems.
