We report four terminal sensing of the anomalous Nernst effect of a Co/Pt thin film induced by perpendicular thermal gradients locally formed by a focused laser beam. We observed that transverse and longitudinal electrical voltages individually detect the projection components of the magnetization via the laser-induced anomalous Nernst effect. This scheme would be potentially applied to vector sensing of local magnetization under a focused laser beam.
