Microplastic Sensors Based on Tilted Fiber Bragg Grating and Engineered Peptides
2023 21st International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN)(2023)
摘要
This paper presents a microplastic sensor that utilizes a tilted fiber Bragg grating surface plasmon resonance modified with a polystyrene-binding peptide. The sensor design includes an tilted fiber Bragg grating surrounded by a 50 nm thick gold layer. The PSBP, modified with thiol, self-assembles on the gold surface through a Au-S bond. This peptide biosensor is capable of specifically binding to polystyrene microplastics through hydrophobic. It can effectively detect PS microplastics in water within the concentration range of 1 mg/ml to 1 $\mu$g/ml.
