A Dual-Linear Polarized Beam-Scanning Holographic Antenna Using Compact Pillbox Feeding System

This paper proposes a dual-linear polarized holographic antenna with a compact-sized pillbox feeding system that generates surface waves for orthogonal directions. The proposed antenna consists of a three-layered pillbox feeding system for dual orthogonal surface waves and a dual-linear polarized hologram pattern for radiating the field toward the desired directions. The proposed antenna steers the beam direction from −10°to +5°in 23 to 25 GHz, radiating the beam at 24 GHz with a realized gain of 19.5 dBi in each polarization.
