摘要

This work shows the initial equatorial D-region density profile generated from the mode cutoff frequencies observed at the extremely low frequency and very low frequency receiver in Sri Lanka. The tweeks show higher order transverse magnetic modes up to the 7th mode. The electron density and the reflection heights calculated based on the mode cutoff frequencies lie within a similar range with the mid-latitude observations previously observed.
