A Dualband Wide Beamwidth Directional Antenna for 2G/3G/LTE Indoor System Applications

A dualband and wide-beamwidth directional antenna for 2G/3G/LTE indoor distributed systems is proposed in this paper. The antenna is composed of a dipole patch with rotation-symmetric curved branches, two reflecting plates and four parasitic metal walls. The Simulation results show that a dualband impedance bandwidth of 0.65-1.16 GHz (56.3 % ) and 1.59-2.79 GHz (54.8 % ) can be achieved for $\vert \mathrm{S}_{11}\vert < -10$ , which can be applied to 2G/3G/LTE bands. In addition, the peak gains range from 4 to 6.5 dBi in the lower band and from 4.8 to 9.7 dBi in the upper band. Notably, it also has good directionality and wide beamwidth.
