Study on Langmuir Perturbation Under Non-uniform Mesh Nesting

The full-scale simulation of electromagnetic wave heating ionosphere involves different sizes with large order of magnitude difference. In order to more accurately simulate the electromagnetic wave propagation of TEz electromagnetic wave in the oblique incidence ionosphere, this paper will discuss an effective FDTD (Finite-Difference Time-Domain) method with nonuniform grid nesting to simulate the numerical model, and obtain the relevant distribution of electric field under the formation of Langmuir turbulence in the ionosphere, compared with the traditional FDTD method with uniform fine grid, the time of uniform fine grid is nearly 5 times that of non-uniform nested grid. It is proved that compared with the traditional uniform fine grid method, the FDTD method using non-uniform nested grid can greatly reduce the computer running time and improve the computational efficiency of the algorithm.
