The Secure transmission method of distribution network messages based on SM3 algorithm

In this paper, we analyze various digest algorithms applied to message encryption by taking our self-developed digest encryption algorithm SM3 as an example for the risk of power information leakage and malicious tampering in the process of data transmission of distribution network messages. The performance test of the algorithm is conducted using Visio Studio2017+Qt software development test interface, and the factors affecting the time consumption of power information data encryption are analyzed from the encryption time of different plaintext lengths. The test analysis shows that SM3 is already efficient in encrypting plaintexts with smaller data lengths, and the encryption time shows a linear increase as the file size increases, which is more secure, efficient and complete compared with other algorithms, and already meets the real-time nature of distribution network messages. Thus, it can be seen that the SM3 algorithm meets the transmission requirements of distribution network messages.
