Polarization Image Demosaicking With Directional Cubic Residual Interpolation

摘要
This paper proposes a rapid and efficient demosaicking algorithm specifically for the polarization filter array to effectively address the issue of polarization image demosaicking. Our method utilizes directional cubic filters and edge-aware weights to obtain a well-refined guide image that helps us turn the mosaicked image into full-resolution polarization images through residual interpolation. Experimental findings illustrate that our proposed method performs so well against existing monochrome and chromatic polarization filter array demosaicking methods.
