An Improved C²oDE based on Stochastic Ranking: A Further Study

Constraint Handling Techniques plays an important role when solving Constrained Optimization Problems. In the previous paper, an improved constrained composite differential evolution (C ² oDE) based on stochastic ranking (SR) is proposed with the aim to check if some other combinations of CHTs can be more effective during the two phases of C ² oDE. This paper further studies the effect of the selection probability P f in SR with problem characteristics considered. Experimental results confirm the corresponding relationship between problem characteristics and P f , which can give some inspiration when designing new algorithms.
