摘要
This paper introduces the concept of a plasma-based intelligent omni-surface (IOS) that can serve mobile users on both sides of the surface in the near- and far-field regions. The IOS operates in three modes, the reflective, transmissive and hybrid modes. In the IOS hybrid mode, the phase is changed from 0° to 345° with maximum magnitude variation of -4.3 dB. The chessboard layout is used, where the unit cells alternate between reflective and transmissive modes. In the IOS mode, the gain of mode the reflected beam is 18.9 dBi and 15.8 dBi for the trasmitted beam. The near field focused for IOS at $\mathrm{R}_{\mathrm{o}}=40$ cm from both sides at 14 GHz is applied. The radiated power is focused on a small spot area of radius 1.8 cm on both sides of the IOS surface. Full wave simulation is considered considering the space surrounding the structure.
