Research on Emission Performance of TiO2 Modified Graphite

Graphite was widely used in explosive emission cathode due to its stability operation, long life, and low gas emission, but the high emission threshold limits the performance of graphite cathode. This paper proposed a scheme of TiO 2 composited graphite. The First Principles Simulation in Materials Studio and the tracking simulation in CST Studio are carried out to verify the low emission threshold of TiO 2 modified graphite. The results show that doping of TiO 2 can decrease the work function of composite cathode materials and can effectively reduce the emission threshold of graphite. Especially, the effect of reducing emission threshold is more obvious with the increase of TiO 2 doping proportion.
