Linear Array Synthesis Using Sea-horse Optimization Algorithm

In this paper, Sea-horse optimization (SHO) algorithm is proposed to optimize the excitation amplitude of linear array antenna to get desired array pattern. The SHO algorithm is inspired by the movement, predation and reproduction behavior of the seahorse. It is a high-performance evolutionary algorithm that can solve high dimensional, linear and nonlinear problems. The SHO algorithm is used to determine the amplitude of a set of optimal uniform linear array elements. Two examples are designed in the text. First, the SHO algorithm is optimized the peak sidelobe level (PSLL) in specific region, and compares it with the BBO algorithm. Then, the SHO algorithm is optimized the PSLL in a specific region while pulling down the first sidelobe level (first SLL), and compares it with the BBO algorithm. The above two examples verify the feasibility of the SHO algorithm in antenna.
