摘要
The monitoring of glucose fluctuation and glucose tolerance is necessary for diabetes patients in their daily life. Most of the commercial glucose meters need to prick the finger with a small wound that raising the concern of pain and infection. The human blood is the low glucose concentration solution (<;<; 100 mmol/L). As the oxygen saturation in the blood decreases, the glucose concentration would linearly increase, due to the competition between glucose and oxygen to dissolve into the blood. In this study, we proposed a noninvasive method to evaluate glucose concentration based on the skin oxygen saturation level and the partial oxygen pressure. We established the equation to present the relationship between the dissolved oxygen concentration and glucose concentration in blood. In the experiment, the variation between preprandial and postprandial glucose concentration of different gender and age subjects was discussed in corresponding to skin oxygen saturation level. The results showed that the glucose increased significantly in 1 hr after having a meal, and the maximum variation of glucose concentration was 0.92 mmol/L. In addition, the 2D glucose distribution image of tested region can be produced to determine the variation of glucose directly. In the future, the above results can be compared with the value measured by the commercial glucose meter, and provide a quick, noninvasive method to measure blood glucose concentration and oxygen saturation for preventing diabetes in the clinical study.
