To ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of fault diagnosis rules in the process of radar health management, and overcome the shortage of traditional human experience in obtaining fault diagnosis rules, a radar fault diagnosis rule knowledge acquisition method based on rough set theory is proposed. Firstly, the basic concepts of rough set theory are introduced, and the characteristic analysis of the radar equipment fault statistical table is conducted. The basic process of acquiring radar fault diagnosis rules knowledge is then proposed. Next, an innovative data preprocessing method and a radar fault diagnosis rule acquisition algorithm based on rough set theory are proposed for unstructured knowledge tables. Finally, the obtained diagnosis rules are applied to the fault diagnosis of a certain radar transmission subsystem. The results show that compared with the traditional method of obtaining diagnosis rules through human experience, the proposed method can effectively obtain diagnosis rules from the redundant fault statistical table of radar equipment. Furthermore, this method solves the problem of the non-standardized knowledge acquisition method and difficulty in knowledge acquisition in the process of radar health management. The use of fault diagnosis rules table can lead to a more rapid and accurate fault diagnosis, saving a considerable amount of time.
