Multi-scenario Transmission Network Expansion Planning Considering Deep Peak Regulation under Static Security Constrains

With the integration of renewable energy in new power system, it is necessary to consider multi-scenario to improve the robustness of the planning scheme, and to enable coal generators to have deep peak regulation capability with better flexibility. Thus, a multi-scenario model for wind and solar power is proposed. The Fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is adopted to obtain typical scenarios. Based on that, a transmission network expansion planning model considering deep peak regulation is established in this paper. The cost model and operation model for deep peak regulation is built. The N-1 load shedding cost is considered in order to ensure static security. The model is solved by Benders decomposition algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by HRP-38 system. It is shown that the model has better adaptability and is beneficial to improve the absorption capacity of renewable energy.
