Response to ketamine treatment for major depressive disorder not associated with number of psychiatric comorbidities

•Intravenous ketamine is being used with increasing frequency to treat depression.•Treatment resistance is often associated with psychiatric comorbidities.•Prediction of potential response to ketamine is difficult given lack of available data and practice guidelines.•In our retrospective study, comorbidities did not limit response in patients receiving ketamine for depression in a community sample.
