The onset of COVID-19 has prompted an unprecedented disruption to our collective daily routines. National ‘stay at home’ orders and lockdown restrictions have required people to work from home, significantly reducing overall movement and public transportation use, thereby restricting residents to spend more time within their neighbourhoods [1]. Especially during strict lockdown restrictions, people were only permitted to leave their homes for very limited tasks, making their immediate neighbourhood surroundings the dominant geographical location where people would live, work, study, and play.
