Real-time stability monitoring for power systems with renewable energy

摘要
There are various stability issues in power systems with high penetration of renewables and power-electronic equipment, such as wide-band oscillation, low inertia, and so on. This paper proposes a novel real-time stability monitoring method for power systems with renewable energy. The proposed method monitors synchronization, voltage, frequency, and oscillation stabilities with wide-band phasor measurement. Furthermore, a comprehensive real-time stability monitoring framework is established. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through simulation studies. The proposed stability monitoring framework is of great significance for ensuring the safe operation of power systems with renewable energy.
