To address the problem of information blindness after the launch of beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile, this paper proposes a random forest-based dynamic assessment method of post-launch effectiveness. Based on the operational characteristics of beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles, a quantitative model is constructed based on the evaluation indicators of distance advantage, remaining flight time advantage of the missile, remaining speed advantage of the missile end, target acquisition ability of air-to-air missile. In addition, the weights of each indicator are determined based on random forest regression trees. In consideration of the highly dynamic and confrontational characteristics of modern air combat, dynamic variable weight theory is introduced to avoid the state imbalance caused by constant weight assessment. The simulation case verifies the accuracy and validity of the evaluation method. The research results show that the method in this paper can fill the gap of missing post-launch missile situational information in air warfare and effectively improve air combat capability.
