摘要
IntroductionThere has been a long-standing debate on what topics should be included in school-based sexuality education in the USA. The purpose of this research was to identify what college women feel they should have been taught in their school-based sexuality education.MethodBetween 2016 and 2017, we collected qualitative survey responses from 90 college women who had completed a human sexuality course at a midwestern US university.ResultsParticipants reported they wish they had learned more about (a) sexual empowerment, (b) what sex entails, (c) anatomy and physiology, (d) sexual health, and (e) college culture.Policy ImplicationsSchool-based sexuality education should provide more women-focused topics. Comprehensive sexuality education should be provided to ensure that women are not missing out on topics that are important to them in later life.
